Bill Buchanan joined Barney & Barney in 1996. A Principal in Barney & Barney’s Commercial Department since 2002, Bill leads the Healthcare Practice Group. Focusing on workers’ compensation, property, liability and professional liability products, Bill serves businesses in the healthcare and life science sectors.
Prior to joining Barney & Barney, he worked for a national insurance broker in Los Angeles. Mr. Buchanan served on the staff of an international mission organization for five years, concentrating on outreach to university students, leadership development and graduate studies in theology.

Mr. Buchanan earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from UCLA. He holds the professional designation of Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU).
