David E. Cannon
Principal
Dave joined Saylor & Hill Co., a Barney & Barney LLC Company, in 1990 and became of Principal of the firm in 1995. Dave is a strong advocate for his clients and manages some of the firm’s largest and most complex employee benefits programs and student health insurance accounts. He has extensive experience in all areas of health and welfare insurance plan management and helps clients plan, design, implement and communicate their programs to meet business objectives.
Dave’s 25 years of employee benefits industry experience include 5 years in sales for MetLife and 2 years as a consultant for Towers Perrin.
An Oakland resident, Dave is active in the community. He currently serves as a Board Member of Alta Alliance Bank and the Oakland Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, and has been involved in industry associations such as the Northern California Employee Benefits Council and the Western Pension Conference.
Dave graduated from UCLA in 1982 with a Bachelors degree in Political Science.
