Kevin is a Principal in Barney & Barney’s Employee Benefits Department where he serves as the technology and life sciences practice group leader.  Kevin joined Barney & Barney in 2002, and became a Principal in 2009.

 

Kevin focuses his attention on being an advocate on behalf of his clients, anticipating and responding to their unique business challenges, and customizing benefits packages that concentrate on the long-term needs of their businesses. Addressing the distinctive needs of his clients, Kevin has taken the initiative in developing Barney & Barney's Consumer Driven Healthcare strategy. He implemented an educational campaign with the nation's best minds in this space to prepare his clients for the impending changes around how healthcare is delivered. Additionally, Kevin has participated with carriers to develop the programs and unique plan designs necessary to that support the roll-out of these plans. These include preferred benefits and pricing as well as unique communication strategies and administrative tools not available through other brokerage firms. He was also responsible for successfully developing and implementing the first Deductible HMO plan in Southern California four years ago.

 

 

Kevin is a member of BIOCOM’s Human Resources Committee.  He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in International Affairs from the University Colorado, at Boulder.
