Since 2004, Mark has been a Principal in Barney & Barney’s Commercial Department, where he specializes in property and casualty insurance coverage for technology, biotech and emerging growth companies. He has been with the company since 1996 and has focused on the development of innovative solutions and risk management programs that address the needs of growth-oriented companies.
As a leader of the company’s Technology/Life Science Practice, Mark helps guide the development of programs tailored to the specific needs of these unique industries. He is also responsible for overseeing property and casualty teams and coordinating business development activities. Mark is a member of UCSD Connect, BIOCOM San Diego and CommNexus.
Mark earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from San Diego State University. He holds the designation of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI).
