Michael is a Principal in Barney & Barney’s Commercial Department. Michael Bailey joined Barney & Barney’s Commercial Department in 2000 and has steadily expanded his role and responsibilities over the years. Serving in the firm’s healthcare practice group, he has extensive experience in professional liability, workers’ compensation, claims and risk management.
Michael has developed his expertise in program development, and his strategic planning has helped numerous companies minimize not only their risk and potential exposure, but also the ultimate costs associated therewith.
Prior to joining Barney & Barney, Michael was the Workers’ Compensation Claims Examiner for Golden Eagle Insurance Company where he was responsible for the administration of all aspects of open indemnity workers’ compensation claims, including monitoring and evaluating medical treatment plans, review of subrogation files and special investigation potential, and negotiating claim settlements.
Michael received a Certificate of Achievement from the California Institute for Insurance Education in the area of workers’ compensation. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Phoenix.
