Mike joined Barney & Barney in 2000 and became a Principal of the company in 2008. As the Director of Life Science Group, Mike is responsible for creating opportunities for Barney & Barney in the biotech industry. This includes providing risk management strategies for issues involving Clinical Trials, Product Liability, Workers’ Compensation, and Directors & Officers Liability for life science clients.
Mike is an active member of BIOCOM, serving on the Financial Community Relations Committee as well as helping to found BIOCOM’s CFO Reception Series. He is also involved with the Alumni Association at the University of San Diego.
A native of Southern California, Mike earned his Bachelor’s in communication with two business minors from the University of San Diego. He holds the designations of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Accredited Advisor of Insurance (AAI).
