Risk & Loss Division Expands with Addition of Daniel Lopez

Lopez to serve as Risk Consultant for Construction Clients
Barney & Barney, one of California’s largest and longest standing insurance brokerages, is pleased to announce the addition of Daniel Lopez to the Risk & Loss Advisors Team. Lopez, who is fluent in both English and Spanish, will serve as a Risk Consultant in support of the firm’s growing Construction Practice.

"Prior to joining Barney & Barney, Daniel spent eight years as a Regional Safety Coordinator with a large General Contractor, and prior to that he was a General Foreman for a Southern California-based Iron Company. In those roles, Daniel developed several high risk safety and training programs in English and Spanish and gained recognition as a leading safety professional within the Construction Industry."
Mr. Lopez has completed several Construction Safety Certifications from UCSD’s OSHA Training Institute and continues his education through UCSD’s Certificate Program. He is a certified trainer in several areas in the construction industry, including OSHA 10 and 30 hour training. Additionally, Daniel is working towards attaining a certificate as a Certified Health and Safety Technician (CHST) as well as working towards a designation from American Society of Safety Engineers as a Construction Safety Professional (CSP).
As a part of the larger Risk & Loss Advisors Team, Daniel will also work with in-house specialists to provide services that include risk management program reviews, risk control and risk financing strategy development, worker’s compensation claims management consulting, property and casualty claims support and consultation, and insurance legal reviews, resolution strategies and client support.
