Bill Brennan joined Barney & Barney in 1996 and became a Principal in 2004. As a Principal in Barney & Barney’s Commercial Department, he specializes in the placement of property, casualty and workers’ compensation programs for privately held middle market companies. Bill also specializes in the Alternative Risk and Self Insurance Market for selective Clients.
As the Construction and Real Estate Practice leader, Bill provides an experienced perspective on insurance programs unique to the construction industry. He also oversees property and casualty teams and coordinates business development activities. In addition to the construction niche, Bill also works with clients in the health and fitness and manufacturing sectors.
Bill is on the Executive Committee for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego and manages the Daisy Miracle Brennan Foundation at UCSD. He is active in the Associated General Contractors Association and the International Health, Racquet and Sports Club Association.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration (with an emphasis in finance) from the University of San Diego. He has achieved the designations of Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC). Bill is currently pursuing the CISC Designation for Construction and Real Estate.
In his free time, Bill enjoys spending time with his family, playing tennis and basketball, being out doors and traveling.
